These new trams are environmental friendly and help reduce carbon emissions and noise pollution. A win for guests and the environment.
This is one small change in Comcast NBCUniversal’s environmental efforts and goals to protect the Earth and the work environment.

The first electric trams have arrived at @UniStudios! Spearheaded in 2017, the conversion from diesel to electric-powered trams will help reduce carbon emissions + noise pollution.

This world-famous tour is a classic experience and fan-fave attraction. For over 55 years, Guests have been immersed in authentic movie and television production studios and blockbuster movie magic.
Everything from “Back to the Future” to “Fast & Furious—Supercharged” to “King Kong 360 3D.”
The conversion to electric trams represents the first battery-powered, off-road, high-torque and low speed mass people movers in the U.S.
USH is transitioning to a complete conversion of 21 trams from diesel-hydraulic engines to electric. This change reduces carbon emissions and reduces noise associated with the vehicles.
The clean air conversion design process is a result of the collaboration between Universal Studios Hollywood and L.A.-based Complete Coach Works. These reimagined trams include a new inductive charging technology that could meet the trams’ rigorous daily demands
