Where to Find NEW Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Medallions
Universal Orlando’s newest tribute store opened yesterday paying homage to the 30th Anniversary of Jurassic Park.
We found mountains of new merchandise among the incredibly detailed rooms, and even tried some dino-riffic snacks! (Ok, we’re stretching with that one). If you made it to the final room of the shop, you’d find some really cool keepsake medallions hiding just before you exit!
Jurassic Park Tribute Store Medallions
You can find the kiosk for the medallions in the back corner of the final room when you go to check out.
The artwork on the machine has the Jurassic Park 30th anniversary logo as well as “The Tribute Store” glowing an orange-y red.
The medallions area available for 1 for $5.00, 2 for $10, or 4 for $15 and have 4 different designs on gold coins.
The first coin has the famous, almost dooming, quote from Hammond when he speaks about Jurassic Park saying, “Really spectacular, spared no expense.” We also see his notable hat and glasses along with the gates of the park.
The second gold coin says “Welcome to Isla Nublar,” a nod to the remote island that Jurassic Park was built on.
The third coin features a note from the iconic final scene with the T-Rex taking over the park with the helicopter leaving the ravaged island.
“Where do you get 100 million-year-old dinosaur blood?” Dr. Ellie Sattler asked. The answer? From preserved mosquitos inside amber.
The coins are pre-made and ready to be dispensed when you pay.
The coins are roughly the size of a half-dollar and have the artwork on one side and the Jurassic Park logo on the other.
