Universal Studios Wait Times for July 2025
Happy July 4th, everyone! Okay, the holiday technically doesn’t start for another few days, but who cares?
As Americans, we all know that we’re getting Friday off, although I’d strongly suggest that you spend it indoors.

Yes, I know that Independence Day barbecues are wildly popular, but the heat index is 102 degrees.
I’m not mentioning that randomly, either. When the temperature is scorching hot, theme park attendance flattens.

Nobody wants to stand in the sun for hours on end. So, did the recent heatwave impact the parks?
Here are the Universal Studios wait times for July 2025.
Universal Studios Florida – The Big Five

CNN
Before we get started, I’ll link you to this article. For the first six months or so of Universal Epic Universal, it gets standalone writeups.
So, I already published its wait times during its first month in existence. And they were solid, all things considered.

Epic
Universal deserves credit for mostly keeping the attractions up and running, no small feat for a new theme park.
However, the rain’s impact on the park is probably more significant than Universal had expected.

Epic
I suspect that adjustments will be made over time to minimize the problem. And that’s only one half of the coin.
We’re also wondering whether the arrival of Epic Universe reduced some of the demand at the other parks.
That’s probably the biggest topic of discussion as we examine the wait times at Universal Studios Florida.
So, what happened? Well, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts had a wait of 49 minutes, which is eight minutes more than last time.

That’s interesting, right? How about Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit? The coaster is in its final days, after all.
For the past month, the roller coaster averaged a wait of 41 minutes, which is an increase of six minutes.

Then, we have Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, which required an average of 40 minutes, ten minutes more than last time.
The next member of the Big Five is Revenge of the Mummy, which averaged a wait of 38 minutes, up three minutes.
Finally, Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast averaged a wait of 14 minutes, which is two minutes more than last time.
Therefore, Epic Universe held rather than hindered the Big Five at Universal Studios Florida.

So, yeah. Epic Universe, if anything, helped the crowds at Universal Studios Florida.
However, I’ll note that despite the article’s name, we’re evaluating data from June.
That’s generally one of the busiest months at Universal Studios. Ergo, this may be less about Epic Universe and more about now being summer.

Overall, park guests waited for an average of 33 minutes per attraction, which is four minutes more than last time.
I went back and looked at last year’s wait times. The two parks averaged a wait of 31 minutes, which is identical to this time.

So, my knee-jerk reaction is that Epic Universe neither hurt nor helped Universal Orlando Resort attendance in a significant way.
