While details of the first project have not been released, Universal Studios Japan will debut this offering, and then Pokémon will start popping up at other Universal parks around the world.
An Exciting Partnership

This move builds on a partnership that began in 2021 and has already brought Pokémon parades and seasonal shows to Universal Studios Japan.
However, the new agreement goes even further with the possibility of full-scale rides, attractions, or even entire themed lands.

It also comes as Universal expands its experiential entertainment.
The company recently opened Epic Universe in Orlando, launched a year‑round horror attraction in Las Vegas, is rolling out a family-focused park in Texas, and opening another horror experience in Chicago.

“Collaborating with imaginative and inventive storytellers fuels our ability to create and deliver mind-blowing attractions and experiences that shatter guest expectations,” says Mark Woodbury, chairman and CEO of Universal Destinations & Experiences.

“The Pokémon Company is one of the most beloved interactive franchises in the world, and through our ongoing partnership, we will continue bringing its vibrant world to life in new and innovative ways for years to come.”
Pokémon is the most lucrative media franchise in the world and will now join other major IPs like Harry Potter, Nintendo, and Fast & Furious in Universal’s lineup.

As Pokémon celebrates its 30th anniversary, both companies say their goal is to create theme park experiences that “surprise and delight” fans and push beyond traditional entertainment.
For Universal fans, that is hopefully more immersive experiences and more ways to step directly into the world of Pokémon.
