First Look: Minion and Gru Specialty Popsicles at Freeze Ray Pops
If you’ve been following along with us at Universal Parks Blog you’ll know that we’re currently exploring Minion Land at Universal Studios Orlando. One of our favorite things about this new area is the eats and treats. We’ve previously shared a look at several menu items at Minion Cafe and now we’ve popped over to Freeze Ray Pops to give their popsicles a try!
Above is a look at the Freeze Ray Pops menu board. You’ll notice that the Minion and Gru popsicles are listed as Speciality Popsicles and they retail for $8.99.
In addition to the two specialty popsicles, there are also a variety of flavored popsicles at Freeze Ray Pops that sell for $5.99. The flavors include:
- Mango
- Strawberry
- Coconut
- Blueberry Lemonade
- Cotton Candy
- Cheesecake
- Lemon Mint
- Cookies and Cream.
Here’s a closer look at both popsicles. As you can see the Gru popsicle is brown and features a brown Gru logo at the center. The Minion Popsicle definitely looks like a minion with its yellow and blue colorway!
Our MickeyBlogger Melissa loved the Gru Popsicle at Freeze Ray Pops. She said that the flavor of Nutella really comes through.
Melissa said that the Gru Popsicle has a hard outer chocolate shell.
Inside is a softer Nutella Ice Cream.
Sometimes simple is best and for a simple, delicious frozen treat, we’re giving this Freeze Ray Pops treat a 10/10!
The Minion Blue Banana Popsicle tastes like a banana cream pie similar to “The Antidote” drink we tried at Minion Cafe. The minion popsicle has a white chocolate shell.
The flavors were definitely there and this was another delicious Freerze Ray Pops treat.
We’re going to give this popsicle a 10 out of 10 as well. However, a quick note of caution. The frozen banana portion of the treat has a lot of blue dye. Your teeth will turn blue.
