Weekend Crowds at Volcano Bay Raise Concerns With COVID-19 Cases On The Rise
Some new images are coming in from the weekend crowds at Volcano Bay and they are raising concerns among guests and viewers for lack of social distancing.
According to a recent piece that appeared on Fox35
One visitor Josh Young said as his party were leaving the water park yesterday they were met with jam-packed crowds. Social distancing requirements were not being met. As you can see from the video below guests were not keeping to social distancing.
Young said that the pictures above were of guests trying to leave the theme parks and were trying to get back on the buses to head out to the parking lot.
He told Fox35, “The ramp, which you saw pictures of, leading up to the buses on the other level had no social distancing markers.” Young added. “There was a barrage of at least 40 employees that just passed by us constantly while we were waiting for buses. They apparently have their own separate bus. They were pushing pass because they didn’t want to wait, encroaching into our space even more.”
FOX25 reached out to the network but at the time of going to print they had yet to hear back from the parks.
.@UniversalORL what steps are you taking to prevent this from happening? https://t.co/UuHRbO20nz
