Earl the Squirrel Walkaround Character Debuts at Universal Studios Florida
Guests can now meet Earl the Squirrel, an original character inspired by the tale of the mischievous squirrel who scurried into the theme park’s holiday decor years ago. Earl will be available for meet and greets on select days from December 11 through January 2 in Universal Studios Florida.
Who is Earl you ask? He is based on an actual squirrel who was scurrying around the parks and took up residence in the Christmas tree about 10 years ago. He quickly became a mascot over the years. Earl would actually steal strands of Christmas lights and take them back to his nest.
In the following years, Universal Team Members started placing a squirrel decoration in the Christmas tree in honor of the real Earl.
If you are a fan of Earl’s, don’t miss your chance to see him walking around now through January 2 in Universal Studios. You can also see a dedicated room, with merchandise in this year’s Holiday Tribute Store – Earl the Squirrel’s Christmas Curios Museum & Emporium. And don’t forget he has his own merchandise in the online Universal shop.
