New Permit Confirms A Moving Walkway Attraction To Replace Shrek 4-D
Ever since Shrek 4-D closed last month, there have been rumors of what would replace it. Some have been suspecting some sort of interactive Minions attraction.
The rumors consisted of guests standing on a moving walkway, moving through scenes, while shooting at targets.
Today, a permit emerged that was filed with the Orange County Comptroller to begin work on the former Shrek 4-D building for “Equipment Installation”.
In that permit, Glidepath is mentioned as the contractor for the equipment installation. They already make and install moving walkways in venues such as aquariums and airports. See the video below for an example.
When the Shrek 4-D ride closed, the walls that were put up around it had Minions on them which is what got the rumor mill swirling. Looks like those rumors may be accurate.
