Happy 33rd Birthday, Universal Orlando!
Universal Orlando Resort is now home to two theme parks (with another coming soon!), a waterpark, and a shopping district, and it all started 33 years ago.

On June 7th, 1990, Universal Studios Florida opened, and the rest is history. Join us in wishing the resort a happy 33rd birthday!

Universal Studios Florida was the park that started it all when it opened in 1990, followed by the opening of Islands of Adventure and CityWalk in 1999. In 2017, the Volcano Bay Waterpark opened, and we can’t forget the Wizarding World of Harry Potter additions!

In 2025, Universal is planning to open a totally new park called Universal Epic Universe, which will feature five different lands themed to things like Universal Classic Monsters, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon, and Wizarding Paris from Fantastic Beasts.
