The Construction Walls Are Down – Let’s Take a Look at Minion Land
Get ready for an exciting summer of Minion fun! The construction walls are down around Minion Land at Universal Orlando and we’re touring the new land to bring you a first look. The adorable theming, bright colors, and larger-than-life details make Minion Land a lot of fun!
First up is a look at Pop-A-Nana, Minion Lands’ very own popcorn stand.
On the roof of Pop-A-Nana is a quote scene of two Minions making popcorn.
Under the roof you’ll also see some cute minion toys.
In terms of menu, it’s just your standard popcorn cart but we love the colorful Minon-inspired details.
Guests can pick up a Souvenir PopCorn Bocket, Banana Popcorn and two of Minion Land’s speciality drinks are also on offer here including the PX-41 Punch and The Antidote.
As you can see to the left and behind POP-A-NANA are some outdoor seating featuring the same yellow and blue colorway.
Above is a closer look at the outdoor seating behind the popcorn stand.
Nearby Pop-A-Nana you’ll also find the outdoor seating area for the Minion Cafe.
In the outside dining area you’ll see menu boards surrounded by fun tubing design.
Be sure to keep following along with us here at Universal Parks Blog for a full review of the menu items available at Minion Cafe.
You can see in the image below more of the outdoor dining area.
The walls in the outdoor seating area are bright yellow.
QR Codes are found on the tables for mobile ordering.
The tables and chairs in the outdoor seating area are bright yellow.
This is matched by the ceiling with a standard brick wall segmenting off the area.
This is a great shady spot to relax and unwind while at Universal!
Along one of the walls is this cute little Minion moment of a paint job gone wrong!
Looking up toward the ceiling you’ll also find various tubes with unique items that the Minions are transporting throughout the area including the banana tube below.
There’s also one that seems to be distributing paperwork.
If you look closely you can just make out an image of BANANAS- what else!?
The outdoor Minion Cafe area was bright and spacious.
The new area wasn’t too busy
The flooring is done in a blue, black and yellow colorway.
Here’s a first look at the Minion Cafe signage.
The outside of the quick service eatery features signage made of Minion-made gadgets
Just to the right of the Minon Cafe outdoor seating ara is this cute graffiti wall!
We shared a look at the exterior of these buildings last week when areas still needed to be painted in.
The finished graffiti wall is absolutely adorable!
There are lots of cute little scenes that play out on the wall!
You’ll also notice that it features one of the Minions’ regular phrases!
“Bello” is Minion for “Hello” and is the perfect welcome for Minion Land visitors!
Making our way down the street in Minion Land, right next to the Bello mural is the Bank of Evil!
The bank features a bright red exterior.
Ata the top of the bank you’ll see two exterior vaults in green.
Both the area with the mural and the Bank of Evil serve as facades for the indoor portion of the Minion Cafe.
Right next to the bank, you’ll see the mobile pickup window for the Minion Cafe.
Mobile Ordering is a quick and easy way to get your Minion Cafe food quick and easy without having to wait in line when you prepay using the app.
When you’re ready to pick up your food, you simply walk up to the Mobile Pickup window and they’ll have it waiting for you.
Moving down the street is the Illuminations Theater. Earlier this week we heard that some characters from the beloved film Sing! were making the rounds here.
There’s also Bake My Day on the Corner. It’s definitely a fun landmark with its bright pink exterior and cupcake topped roof area.
But my favorite storefront has to be the Overalls shop!
Again, this area if a facade for other features and attractions at Minion Land but the concept of getting one-size-fits-most Minion overalls is adorable!
The door of the Overall Shop features curtains made from denim.
There’s also button emblems on the walls!
Those looking to cool off in the hot Orlando sun will want to pop by Freeze Pops!
Again, note the adorable Minion-signage.
We also LOVE the rainbow-colored awning! Where can we get one!?
Here guests can pick up an array of popsicles and other frozen goodies!
One of the buildings in Minion Land, where guests can actually go inside, is Bake My Day.
In the shop you’ll find a mix of sweet treats and fun Minion-inspired merchandise.
Look at the adorable Minion headbands we found during our visit!
You’ll find everything at Bake My Day from Spirit Jerseys and plush dolls to phone cases and stickers.
Here’s a look at the dessert case in Bake My Day at Minion Land where you can get Despicable Me inspired macarons, rice krispie treats and more!
As you can see, the interior of the shop features pink and yellow striped walls.
In contrast, the flooring is black and white checkered giving the shop and chaotic but fun vibe!
You’ll also find some minions inside getting up to mischief!
The window displays at the shop are adorable and make for a great photo op.
Mion fans of all ages are sure to love the fun accessories, clothing, and toys that Bake My Day has on offer.
Here are a few more images of the photo-worthy Bake My Day Windows
We love the display featuring Agnes’ Fluffy Unicorn.
We couldn’t leave Bake My Day without showing you the cute Minion Cupcake on the roof.
We also love the tradition sweet shop signage featuring multi-colored cupcakes!
As you can see, the Bake My Day Cafe sits at the corner of Minion Land with Freeze Ray Pops on one side.
The Overall Shop sits on the other side.
Next to the Overall Shop is the Illumination theater.
Other highlights of Minion Land include this fabulous corner sign.
It features lots of Minions scaling the walls. Also note, the Purple Minon mixed in among the group!
There’s so much to love about this new area of Universal Orlando. You’ll definitely want to take time to explore and discover all of the adorable details woven throughout the land!
