Universal Kids Resort Reveals First Look at Themed Lands Coming to Frisco
Get ready, Universal fans! There have been some pretty big announcements this week!
Universal Kids Resort has recently unveiled new concept art and details for its highly anticipated family theme park, opening in Frisco, Texas, in 2026.
The all-new destination will feature seven themed lands designed around some of the most beloved Universal and Nickelodeon characters.
New Details
Families will enter through the Isle of Curiosity, home to Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse, before exploring immersive zones inspired by Shrek, Puss in Boots, Minions, Jurassic World, Trolls, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
The land will feature meet-and-greets, interactive play areas, and themed attractions tailored for younger guests.

- DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp
- DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar
- Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club
- Jurassic World Adventure Camp
- DreamWorks’ TrollsFest
- Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom
- Isle of Curiosity

In addition to all of this fun and play areas, Universal Kids Resort features multiple sensory gardens.
These experiences are designed to give children and families opportunities to pause and connect through various senses like touch and smell.
