Universal Studios Wait Times for November 2025
The (first) holiday season has ended at Universal Orlando Resort.
Now, the REAL holiday season can begin. Yes, I’m a Christmas fanatic.

Universal
I realize that’s not the popular opinion with Universal Studios fans, but you can’t change me!
Seriously, though, the end of Halloween Horror Nights represents the saddest time for most fans.

We’ll have to wait until next August for the screams to return in earnest.
On the bright side, the Grinch should start saving Christmas any minute now.

Anyway, the October crowds are typically quite large at Universal. Was that the case last month?
We’ll find out by checking the Universal Studios wait times for November 2025.

As a reminder, despite the name, we’re looking back at the past 30 days of wait time data.
Also, this year is unlike any other at Universal Orlando Resort (UOR) due to the new park.

With Universal Epic Universe now open, park guests have three choices for where to visit.
So, that may impact attendance, which hasn’t been great anyway.

The Themed Entertainment Association’s 2024 theme park attendance report just came out the other day.
According to that data, all of Universal’s American theme parks dropped last year.

Presumably, some of that involved tourists waiting until 2025 to visit Epic Universe.
Still, this year’s data has been…let’s say mercurial. So, something may be going on here.

Also, you may have noticed a change in how I’m splitting Universal Studios.
As promised last month, it was time to remove a couple of rides from this group.

So, the new Big Three at Universal Studios Florida are the ones we’re about to discuss.
The one with the longest wait time last month was Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts.

Guests stood in line for an average of 60 minutes, which is up 21 minutes from last time.
Then, we have Revenge of the Mummy, which had a 39-minute wait, which is 11 (!) minutes more than last time.

The final member of the new Big Three is Despicable Me Minion Mayhem.
This wonderful ride’s average wait last month was 36 minutes, ten minutes more than last time.

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem
We’re obviously trending way up from last time, but we need more data to know for sure.

Final Thoughts

Photo: Universal
We witness this behavior each year. If anything, the only thing that requires explanation is Hogwarts Express.
I know it looks weird that one side of the train averages a wait twice as long as the other.

Photo: Universal Orlando
There’s a valid explanation, though, and it involves Halloween Horror Nights.
Since Universal Studios Florida closes early for the event, guests head to the other park.

What’s the best way to do that? They ride Hogwarts Express. It’s a one-way trip, though.
Since Universal Studios Florida has closed for the night to guests with regular admission, people don’t go back.

That’s why one version of the ride requires a much longer wait than the other at this time of year.
