Universal Kids Resort: Everything Coming to Universal’s New Park for Families
Universal is building something new in Frisco, Texas, and has just released new details and concept art that fans will love.
Universal Kids Resort opens in 2026 as the first Universal theme park designed entirely for young families. The park features bright theming, sensory gardens, gentle rides, hands-on play, character encounters, and a 300-room on-site hotel created around comfort and simplicity for parents and children.

The park brings seven themed lands to life. Each land is crafted around a major Universal franchise, offering rides, shows, interactive play, and plenty of kid-friendly food.
Isle of Curiosity sits at the center of the park with DreamWorks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse. Families find shady lawns, character meet and greets, breakfast at Universal Kids Resort Café, sweet treats at Cakey’s Cupcakes, dance parties with Gabby, and two retail locations: Universal Kids Resort Store and Gabby’s Dollhouse.
DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp features a swamp-themed playground, a water play zone, meet and greet with Shrek and Fiona, and the family ride Shrek & Fiona’s Happily Ogre After.
Kids can explore Shrek’s Swamp Rompin’ Stomp and Shrek’s Swamp Splah & Smash, enjoy snacks, and pick up souvenirs at Triplets Treasures.

SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom delivers classic undersea fun with rides, Jellyfish Fields Jamboree, Barnacle Bus, Bobbing Barrels, and Mrs. Puff’s Boating School. Then check out the wet play area at Pineapple Paradise, and enjoy a full lineup of games and character moments.
Dining highlights include Goofy Goober’s and its grab-and-go window, and be sure to shop for apparel and memorabilia at Barg’N-Mart and Grab-It Mart.

Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club mixes water battles and Minion chaos. Families board the Bello Bay Cruise, take on the spinning Bello Bay Golf Cart Derby ride, and grab Minion snacks at Bello Bay Bites.

Jurassic World Adventure Camp blends thrills and gentle exploration. Attractions include Jurassic World: Cretaceous Coaster, Mr. DNA’s Double Helix Spin, and Pteranodrop with gentle drops and dips!
Kids explore lookout towers, dry play zones, and even a raptor hatching experience. Jurassic World Canteen and two retail stops provide plenty of great new merch.

DreamWorks’ TrollsFest surrounds guests with music, color, and the perfect celebration. Hop aboard Rhonda’s TrollsFest Express before soaring high above the park in Hair in the Clouds. The land also includes a sensory garden and plenty of Trolls-themed dining and shopping.

DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar brings Kitty Adoption Day to life with Swings Over Del Mar, a lively stage show at Mama Luna’s. Families can enjoy carnival-style games in Barriles de Leche and El Gato’s Meow. There is also another sensory garden and a full lineup of themed food and merchandise.
