UniversalParksBlog News for March 29th, 2026
We won’t officially be Halfway to Halloween until May 8th…but why wait?
Everyone knows that Halloween season starts much earlier at Universal Orlando Resort.

So, let’s go ahead and talk about Halloween Horror Nights 2026 in UniversalParksBlog News!
Oh yes, we’ve got information on Houses and tickets, and you’re gonna wanna know it.
Halloween in March

Let’s just get right to it. With little warning, Universal Studios has already started the process.
Tickets are now on sale for Halloween Horror Nights 2026! And Premium Scream Night is back, too.

Universal is selling single-night tickets for $88 to $130 per person, with the most expensive ones in late October.
This year’s HHN events officially start on August 28th and continue through November 1st.

Yes, the calendar configuration allows for a November date, which is always a lot of fun.
However, you can get a head start on the competition on August 27th.

That’s the first Premium Scream Night of 2026. Yes, there are two this year. That’s new.
On August 27th and again on October 19th, guests can attend Premium Scream Night.

These two events cost $399 per person, but you get exclusive access to the Houses.
Universal also tosses in “complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages” for that $399.

So, it’s an all-inclusive ticket for the day before HHN technically starts. Or October 19th.
I don’t completely understand the point of the second date beyond the obvious.

HHN crowds surge as Halloween approaches, and Premium Scream Night helps you sidestep the issue.
These two events provide exclusive access to the Houses on nights they’re otherwise closed to guests.

You’re paying for the ability to cycle through all the Houses quickly, although there’s some risk.
A few complaints last year suggested that the Houses weren’t quite up to snuff yet.

Premium Scream Night doubles as beta testing for Scareactors and guests alike.
The Houses typically get better after a few nights once everyone has calibrated expectations.

I’m just saying this so that you’ll have a better idea whether Premium Scream Night is worth the money.
The exclusivity helps you speedrun through the Houses, which is impossible during HHN.
Let’s Talk HHN

Before we discuss the House Universal just announced, I should mention the pricing.
When Premium Scream Night began, Universal charged $350 per person plus tax.

Then, the price increased to $375 last year and will be $399 for 2026.
However, annual passholders can save $25 on their purchases, and that’s not all.

You may recall that Premium Scream Night 2025 was kind of a disaster for a strange reason.
The glowing reviews for the 2024 event caused a surge in demand for year two.

Since the appeal of Premium Scream Night is largely non-existent crowds, the newfound popularity caused problems.
Last year’s event felt overbooked, leading to many online complaints.

To Universal’s credit, it’s quietly offering make-goods this year in the form of ticket discounts.
If you’re one of a few thousand folks who purchased Premium Scream Night last year, I’ve got great news.

Universal is offering a $75 discount on this year’s ticket, an incredible offer.
So, if you bought two tickets last year, you get two discounts for 2026, making the price cheaper than in 2024.

Otherwise, that $399 price tag should seem familiar to you, as it’s the same price as a different option.
The R.I.P Tour also costs $399, although it requires a standard admission ticket as well.

The Premium Scream Night does not, which may still make it a better value to some.
Personally, I think that if you’re going to splurge, you should go ahead and get a tour guide, too.

As for regular tickets, there are 48 dates this year, with scheduling following recent history.
Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror is also back with tour tickets starting at $99.

Universal is following the Disney playbook of offering a plethora of booking options.
Each fan can decide for themselves which HHN ticket offering best fits their needs and budget.

The complexity is, unfortunately, a feature, not a bug, but fans really shouldn’t care.
With this many excellent choices, you’re sure to relish HHN 2026. Speaking of which…
The House Announcement

Look, we’re still in March, so any HHN confirmation whatsoever is encouraging.
Usually, I’m still discussing speculation maps at this time of year, not the real deal.

Universal knows what sells and is being proactive about HHN 2026.
We’ve already learned about one of the new Houses, and it’s justification enough to attend this year.

Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control brings two HHN icons together in a joint House.
Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow will celebrate the event theme of “Infernal Carnival of Nightmare.”

I won’t pretend to know what that means, but it sounds devilish in nature.
The new House will demonstrate the rivalry between these two characters while revealing some of their personal history.

Universal officials described the House a bit at Megacon Orlando a few days ago.
“They aren’t buddies. They are here because they know if they work together, they can inch in more horror and put more fear into the hearts of all of
you.”

The executive also flatly stated that “this is not a partnership.” We all knew that.
Still, hearing someone from Universal confirm it is exciting, but that’s not all.
More about HHN 35

The Team Member also indicated that HHN 35 will pay tribute to Houses that came before it.
While doing so, the 35th event will lay the groundwork for current and future stories as well.

Best of all, Oddfellow will narrate a bit about Jack the Clown’s history.
So, we’ll learn how one adversary views the other, a tantalizing proposition.

That’s exciting enough right there, but I’m hopeful that we’re getting a Resident Evil House, too.
With Resident Evil: Requiem dominating the gaming world right now, the timing feels right.

Universal could combine RE’s 30th anniversary with HHN 35 for maximum results.
Also, a House with Chunk, The Girl, and the Chef would be unforgettable. IYKYK. (Warning: foul language in below video)
