Universal Studios Wait Times for March 2025
We have officially entered the 90-day window for Universal Epic Universe, the redundantly named theme park of redundance.
While excitement hasn’t reached a fever pitch quite yet, we can all feel the tension building as the magical day approaches.

In late May, Epic Universe will open its gates and fundamentally change the nature of Universal Orlando Resort.
Right now, we’d all settle for warm enough weather for Volcano Bay to stay open, though.
Obviously, many tourists are waiting until the summer to visit the parks. Despite this fact, attendance has remained pretty good.
Here are the Universal Studios attraction wait times for March 2025.
Universal Studios Florida – The Big Four and the Other

As a reminder, we’ll be looking back at the average wait times for the various Universal Orlando attractions from the past month.
However, I’ve dropped one of them from Big Five status. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit will die right after Epic Universe lives.

So, the roller coaster no longer deserves to be called one of the best at Universal Studios Florida.
For the past month, guests waited for an average of 33 minutes to ride Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.
Folks, that’s 20 minutes less than last time, when the attraction appeared to get a temporary bump from its closure reveal.
Well, any lingering goodwill has vanished as everyone remembered the ride sucks.
On the Minions front, The Big Four isn’t the current name, either, as one of the rides has fallen from the top group.
We knew that Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast would eventually slow down due to its massive throughput.
Well, the attraction averaged a wait of 16 minutes last month, which is one minute less than last time.
Also, Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem had an average wait of 45 minutes, which is also one minute less than last time.

On the great ride front, Revenge of the Mummy dropped to 42 minutes this past month, five minutes less than during January.
Finally, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts also fell seven minutes to 55 minutes.
Universal Studios Florida – Everything Else
Okay, we’re trending toward having a slower February than January, but let’s check the other rides to make sure.
- TRANSFORMERS The Ride 3D – 38 minutes, down 2
- Hogwarts Express – King’s Cross – 37 minutes, down 4
- T. Adventure – 36 minutes, up 3

- The Simpsons Ride – 31 minutes, down 5
- Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon – 27 minutes, up 2
- Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl – 26 minutes, up 3
- MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack! – 25 minutes, up 1
- Fast & Furious – Supercharged – 20 minutes, down 1

Overall, Universal Studios Florida attractions averaged a modest wait of 33 minutes, which is two minutes less than last time.
That’s also two minutes less than the same timeframe in 2024, which was part of a slow winter quarter for Universal.

Based on what I’m seeing here, guests are definitely waiting for Epic Universe, but we’ll verify with the other park’s data.
Universal’s Islands of Adventure

At Islands of Adventure, guests waited for an average of 39 minutes per attraction for the same timeframe in 2024.
Meanwhile, they waited for 35 minutes during January, the month we’re using for comparison right now.

So, those are the metrics that will indicate whether attendance increased or dropped last month.
Based on Universal Studios Florida, it appears certain to drop, but let’s check. Here are the average wait times at Islands of Adventure last month:

Overall, the attractions at this park averaged a wait of 36 minutes, which is one minute more than last time.
However, that stat comes with an asterisk. While the weather wasn’t great last month, especially by Orlando standards, it was better.
So, the water rides were at least a theoretical possibility, which led to increased wait times.
Also, your eyes did not deceive you. Pteranodon Flyers is back up and running again after a full year of refurbishment!

Adding an attraction with an hour-long wait inflates the park’s overall average wait time.
That’s why I still think attendance was down month over month and year over year despite Islands of Adventure technically having longer waits this month.
