Universal Orlando Wins 5 Golden Ticket Awards for Epic Universe and Volcano bay
Congrats, Universal Orlando Resort! The Orlando theme park is celebrating five major wins at this year’s Golden Ticket Awards.
Epic Universe, which opened in May 2025, claimed four awards, while Volcano Bay water park took home one.

The Golden Ticket Awards are an annual event that recognizes the best theme parks and attractions worldwide.
A panel of global theme park experts and enthusiasts chooses the winners, making them some of the most prestigious honors in the theme park industry.

Universal Orlando was recognized for five awards this year. Epic Universe’s Dark Universe was named Best New Theme Concept of 2025, and Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment was awarded Best Dark Ride.

The park’s Harry Potter and the Ministry of Magic attraction was crowned Best New Attraction. The high-speed Stardust Racers won Best New Roller Coaster of 2025.

In addition to Universal Orlando’s newest theme park, Volcano Bay was named Best Water Park of 2025.
The water park opened in 2017, and its win finally ended the decades-long winning streak of Schlitterbahn’s (New Braunfels, Texas)

The Golden Ticket Awards are presented annually by industry publication Amusement Today. They are a panel of global theme park enthusiasts who vote on multiple categories, including rides and attractions, food, entertainment, and overall guest experience.
Other top winners this year include Europa-Park in Germany as Best Park of 2025, Busch Gardens Williamsburg as Most Beautiful Park, and Dollywood in Tennessee. The popular park collected three awards, including Best Family Coaster for Big Bear Mountain, Best Kids’ Area, and Best Guest Experience of 2025.
