Universal Studios Wait Times for October 2025
We’ve got plenty of happiness and an unfortunately terrible story to discuss.
So, let’s just get to it. Here are the Universal Studios wait times for October 2025.
Universal Studios Florida – The Big Four

WESH
Last month proved sadly eventful at Universal Orlando Resort.
A passenger died while riding Stardust Racers, the first tragedy of its kind in Orlando in many years.

Universal
Well, there was one at a non-theme park, but I’m talking about the major players here, Universal Studios and Disney.
Both parks enjoy a track record of safety, but Universal Studios can no longer claim that.

Deadline
Before then, Universal Orlando Resort was enjoying sustained momentum from its new theme park opening.
In addition, Halloween Horror Nights 2025 is well underway, having started on August 29th.

Universal
This event typically reduces wait times at Universal Studios Florida, the host park.
Meanwhile, it swells the wait times at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Universal
Guests demonstrate this behavior because they must leave Universal Studios Florida early.
So, they spend more time at Islands of Adventure at night than they typically do throughout the year.

Spectrum News
We can quickly identify the status of the past month’s crowds by examining The Big Four.
That’s what I call the two Despicable Me attractions, the Mummy roller coaster, and the Harry Potter thrill ride.

Universal
Last month, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts averaged a wait of 39 minutes.
That is down two minutes from last time…and worrisome for the rest of the park.
Revenge of the Mummy required an average wait of 28 minutes, which is four minutes less than last time.
Then, we have Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem, which had a wait of 26 minutes.

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem
That’s a massive drop of eight minutes from last time, and it wasn’t the only one.
Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast averaged a nine-minute wait, which is two minutes less than last time.
I’ve left this one in the Big Five/Big Four list since it opened, but I’m arbitrarily deciding to end that now.
This is the last time you’ll see it on this part of the list. It’s now The Big Three from this point forward.

Overall, Universal Studios Florida attractions averaged a wait of 23 minutes.
That’s three minutes less than last time, but I owe you an explanation for one.
Remember how I mentioned that guests leave one park and go to the other?
Yeah, that’s why the lines at Hogwarts Express usually increase in September and October.

Overall, Islands of Adventure guests stood in line for an average of 24 minutes per attraction.
That’s six minutes less than last time, a sure sign that the crowds dropped in September.

We should track an increase in October as Halloween approaches.
However, I’ll add that we do have an x-factor this time due to the Stardust Racers tragedy.

The negative news cycle from that could cause an attendance decrease in the short term.
Nobody knows for sure whether that will happen, as it’s too soon to say for certain. It’s a definite possibility, though.
