Savory flavors! Authentic cuisine! Out of this world International bites! Get ready to indulge in these fan-fave treats from Universal’s Mardi Gras!
Whether you are a first time visitor to Mardi Gras or a seasoned guest, one of the best aspects of the Universal’s Mardi Gras is the delicious food offerings! There are numerous themed kitchens and smaller kiosks spread throughout the park offering amazing eats.
It is almost impossible to select my favorites, but I’ve narrowed it down to a few classic bites. Here are some Universal Mardi Gras fan-fave treats you have to check out!
Ube Ice Cream Bubble Waffle
The presentation is half the fun of this unique dessert! Indulge in a creamy purple sweet potato ice cream generously filled in a matcha green tea bubble waffle. The varying textures and flavors make this a truly one-of-a-kind dessert.
The treat features colorful marshmallows and toasted coconut that add a sweet and crunchy texture. And my favorite part? I love the strawberry Pocky sticks and popping candies. Yum!
Classic Beignets at Universal
Nothing says Mardi Gras like this classic New Orleans treat! And Universal Mardi Gras does them the best! There are four food and beverage kicthens located located in Gramercy Park and New York offering these sweet bites!
Grab this sweet fried pastry with powdered sugar and enjoy while watching the Planet Mardi Gras parade or listening to the amazing live music.
Crawfish & Shrimp Boil
The food kiosk next to Mel’s Drive-in boasts 2 of my favorite Mardi Gras eats! This crawfish and Shrimp Boil is a flavorful mixed bag of crawfish, shrimp, andouille sausage, red bliss potatoes, and corn on the cob. It is savory and filling in the best way possible!
If that is too much they also offer the Crawfish Boil which is just as tasty!
Samosas
Head to India: Floral Planet in Woody Woodpecker’s Kidzone for this new tasty bite! Feast on Potato, Pea and Carrot Samosas served with a creamy side of green chutney.
I was pleasantly surprised by this newest offering. The crispy texture was perfect and the chutney had just the right amount of heat! A delicious new fave for me!
Coconut Shrimp Laksa
For Asian flavors and unique fare head to Southeast Asia: Volcano Planet by Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone. This hearty dish features generous portions of Shrimp, tofu, chicken, and hard boiled eggs. The Asian noodles were perfect in a spicy coconut curry broth.
