BREAKING: Universal Orlando Operation Updates!
Hello UniversalParksBlog friends! If you have been following along you know that Central Florida was hit hard by Hurricane Ian and has spent the last 24 hours recovering. Universal Orlando has just announced details of the phased re-ropening of the resort and eager guests are ready for fun.

Universal Orlando’s Previous Operation Info
Universal Universal Orlando Resort made the operational decision to close for Hurricane Ian. After the storm passed, they released the following info:
“We continue to conduct assessment and recovery efforts across our entire destination with the safety of our guests and team members being our top priority. We expect to begin a phased reopen of portions of our destination for our hotel guests only beginning Friday, Sept. 30. We will update our website and social channels with information on Park hours as conditions allow.
Our hotels will remain operational as they focus on taking care of our guests. If you have an existing reservation for arrival through Friday that you would like to cancel or modify, please continue to hold.”
The Newest Updates
Information has just been released about the re-ropening:
- Halloween Horror Nights event will open 5 PM on Friday, September 30 for all guests with existing tickets.
- Volcano bay has also re-opened for all guests today ( Friday, September 30th).
- Beginning Saturday, October 1st, Universal Orlando Resort and Halloween Horror Nights will re-open to all guests.
