Universal Studios Hollywood to Resume Normal Operating Hours Today
The Universal theme parks are usually open every day of the year, but sometimes major events can shut them down. Extreme weather, like hurricanes, has been known to close the parks in Florida.
And the West Coast theme parks aren’t exempt from major weather events, either. Today, we have an update on what’s happening with Universal Studios Hollywood in California.
Universal Studios Hollywood to Reopen
Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk will be open today, Friday, January 10th. Both have been closed for the past two days due to the ongoing fires in Southern California.

Universal Studios Hollywood will be open from 10AM to 7PM and Universal CityWalk will be open from 11AM to 10PM.
Universal also shared another message: “We extend our heartfelt sympathies to those impacted by the recent and ongoing fires, as well as our deepest appreciation to the first responders for their valiant and ongoing efforts during this difficult time.”
The fires in and around Los Angeles have killed 10 people and burned more than 10,000 structures since Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.
Universal Studios Hollywood is located in Universal City, which is situated between the Palisades fire and Eaton fire. Looking at an air quality map, the area Universal Studios Hollywood is in is listed as “unhealthy for sensitive groups” according to IQAir, so be aware of that.
We’ll let you know if anything changes with the situation. Stay tuned for more Universal news and updates.
