Universal Studios Wait Times for April 2025
In about seven weeks, Universal Epic Universe will open and thereby transform Universal Orlando Resort.
Somehow, the entire state of Florida feels like tourism is waiting for this big moment.
But we cannot worry about Memorial Day Weekend right now. We’ve got to talk about what just happened again.
So, here are the Universal Studios wait times for April 2025.
Universal Studios Florida – The Big Four and the Other

Let’s start with a couple of reminders, including the usual one.
We call this article April wait times, but we’re really evaluating the data for the previous month.

So, we’re taking a look at how big the crowds were in March, part of which was ostensibly Spring Break.
As usual, we have the same problem in identifying Spring Break, which varies by school system.

In other words, my Spring Break isn’t your Spring Break, but there’s generally a halo effect at all theme parks.
Our other reminder is that Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit doesn’t really belong in this group any longer.

Universal has announced the ride will close later this year, and I’m really only including it here for sentimentality.
Not that long ago, it was one of the Big Five rides at Universal Studios Florida.

Now, it’s more famous for being the slapdash roller coaster allegedly causing serious injuries.
But, in case you were wondering, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit averaged a wait of 39 minutes, which is six minutes more than last time.

The most popular ride of the Big Five was, as usual, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts.
Guests stood in line for an average of 57 minutes per attraction, which is two minutes more than last time.
Revenge of the Mummy also proved popular last month, averaging a wait of 46 minutes.
That’s four minutes more than last time. So, you should be able to guess which way we’re trending.
As for the Despicable Me rides, Minion Mayhem averaged a wait of 45 minutes, the same as the prior month.
Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast increased slightly, with an average wait of 17 minutes, one more than last time.

Thus, we’re not really noticing any huge Spring Break crowds at this park. But there’s another one…

About the Crowds

Photo: Universal
We do have a few caveats this month. The first is that Pteranodon Flyers’ number is a bit misleading.
Remember that the ride only opened for a few days in February.
Since it’d been offline for the body of a year, there was unique demand during those first few days.
Since then, it has slowed to its standard levels. And that’s not the only oddity.

March proved unseasonably cool for long stretches, which reduced the demand for various water rides.
You can really tell the difference in comparing them year over year, as all the wet rides fell from 2024’s averages.

Thus, I’m not as concerned about the lack of sizable growth during Spring Break month.
But I do think it’s clear that many Universal Studios fans are (understandably) waiting until this summer.
