Universal Studios Wait Times for June 2025
Okay, let’s huddle up and talk shop.
For several years now, I’ve published Universal Studios attraction wait time estimates for the Orlando campus.

Universal Globe
For a while, I even threw in Universal Studios Hollywood, but those weren’t as popular.
Now, we’ve got another park to discuss, and it actually matters greatly to today’s conversation.

However, at least for the short term, I’m going to separate Universal Epic Universe from the other two theme parks at Universal Orlando Resort (UOR).
So, the Universal Studios wait times for June 2025 will focus exclusively on Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

You can expect a companion article about Epic Universe in a day or two. First, let’s track whether its arrival impacted the other parks.
Universal Studios Florida – The Big Five

Epic
Let’s discuss the elephant in the living room before we get to anything else.
Epic Universe officially opened to the public on May 22nd, 2025. But there’s only a small amount we can glean from its earliest days.
I say this because Universal officials adopted a patient approach with the park’s debut, restricting the number of guests during its opening weekend.
Livestreams of the debut featured extremely confused influencers wondering where everybody was that day.
On the bright side, the rides remained operational at a higher level than I’d expected, partially because Universal switched a couple of B-mode operations.
That’s when an attraction closes a troublesome feature while keeping the body of the experience operational for guests.

Universal
The troublemaker right now is Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, which reportedly has one problematic drop. So, Universal just shut it down for now.
The point is that any concerns about Epic Universe luring guests from the other two parks are currently premature.

The new park’s attendance isn’t high enough for it to matter. Thus, the attractions at Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida shouldn’t be impacted.
Is that the case? Here are the average wait times for Universal Studios Florida’s top five attractions:
- Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts – 41 minutes, down 10
- Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit – 35 minutes, down 12
- Revenge of the Mummy – 35 minutes, down 9
- Despicable Me Minion Mayhem – 30 minutes, down 14
- Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast — 12 minutes, down 5

So, the early conclusion is that it was a slow week at this park. Still, let’s collate a bit more data before deciding.
Here are the other average wait times at Universal Studios Florida last month:

- Hogwarts Express – King’s Cross Station – 30 minutes, down 9
- TRANSFORMERS The Ride 3D – 30 minutes, down 9
- The Simpsons Ride – 28 minutes, down 4
- T. Adventure – 25 minutes, down 5
- MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack! – 21 minutes, down 2
- Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon – 19 minutes, no change
- Fast & Furious – Supercharged – 18 minutes, down 6
- Trolls Trollercoaster – 16 minutes, down 11
- Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl – 14 minutes, down 7

Overall, park guests stood in line for an average of 25 minutes per attraction, which is a whopping seven minutes less than last time.
Keep in mind that while Epic Universe technically didn’t open until later in the month, Universal hosted sneak previews throughout May.

So, it’s possible that the new park hurt the others in that way, although I still think that’s a stretch.
More than anything, it just seems like it was a slow month at Universal Studios Florida…or maybe the entirety of UOR. We’ll find out with the other park’s data.
Universal’s Islands of Adventure

Overall, Islands of Adventure attractions averaged a wait of 28 minutes, which is six minutes less than last time.
I’m trying not to read a lot into this, but it’s a bit worrisome for Universal Studios to lose this much traffic.

A year ago, the two parks averaged a wait of 31 minutes. During the past month, that total dropped to 27 minutes.
That’s probably not the behavior Universal officials want as Epic Universe arrives.
