Universal Studios Wait Times for September 2025
Well, we’ve survived the onslaught of the summer theme park season.
Now, we receive our just rewards: Halloween Horror Nights! It’s terror season, and we’re all invited!

HHN
Before we get to that, we should discuss the recent crowds at the parks.
Here are the wait times at Universal Orlando Resort for September 2025.
Universal Studios Florida – The Big Four
Ding dong, the witch is dead! We have said goodbye to Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit once and for all.
In case you missed my UniversalParksBlog News commentary, my sole thought here is, “Good riddance.”

That abomination of a roller coaster was my least-favorite ride in Florida, and I won’t miss it.
If we’re really getting a Fast & Furious coaster, which is the hot rumor, I’m all for it.

Anyway, with Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit gone, Universal Studios Florida has lost one of its Big Four.
Technically, I should drop this to the Big Three, as Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast no longer qualifies.

Villain-Con Minion Blast
I added it when the attraction was new and in demand, but it’s…not now.
Still, for grouping purposes, we can address both Minions rides at once. So, I’m sticking with it.

Villain-Con Minion Blast
Last month, Minion Blast averaged a wait of 11 minutes, making it a virtual walk-on.
See? I shouldn’t include it, but I’m stubborn. That’s two minutes less than last time.
As for the popular Minions ride, Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem averaged a wait of 34 minutes.
That’s a more significant drop of seven minutes from last time. So, we’re trending down.
Next, we have Revenge of the Mummy, which required an average line time of 32 minutes.
That’s another seven-minute drop, which means the parks were definitely less crowded.

Finally, the REAL member of the Big Four, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, averaged a wait of 41 minutes.
That’s another five-minute drop. So, we’re looking at a VERY calm month at the park, which makes sense. The school year has started.

So, how empty was the park? Here are its other wait times last week:
- Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit – 34 minutes, down 14
- TRANSFORMERS The Ride 3D – 33 minutes, down 8
- The Simpsons Ride – 32 minutes, down 1
- Hogwarts Express – King’s Cross Station – 27 minutes, down 1
- T. Adventure – 26 minutes, down 3
- MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack! – 22 minutes, down 2

- Fast & Furious – Supercharged – 17 minutes, down 4
- Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl – 14 minutes, down 3
- Trolls Trollercoaster – 14 minutes, down 2
I’ve included Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit for historical purposes. However, it was open for less than three weeks.
The park’s attractions averaged a wait of 26 minutes, which is four minutes less than last time.

That’s a fairly sizable drop, even allowing for the end of summer vacation for students.
For comparison, the park’s average wait last year at this time was 30 minutes. So, it’s down a lot.
Universal’s Islands of Adventure
Of course, we may find that Islands of Adventure required longer waits. I doubt it, but we’ll check.
Here are the park’s average wait times for the past month:
- Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure – 107 minutes, down 3
- Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls – 54 minutes, down 7
- Skull Island: Reign of Kong – 44 minutes, up 6
- Flight of the Hippogriff – 37 minutes, up 2
- Pteranodon Flyers – 36 minutes, no change

- One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish – 12 minutes, down 4

- Caro-Seuss-el – 8 minutes, no change

Overall, guests stood in line for an average of 30 minutes per attraction, which is two minutes less than last time.
That’s actually three minutes more than a year ago, which leads to a weird outcome.

Year over year, Universal Orlando Resort appears relatively flat with its wait times.
We’re not including Universal Epic Universe, which we’ll discuss in a side article.

Still, this is a bit of an odd behavior we’re tracking.
Is Universal Studios Florida suffering more from the new park? If so, why isn’t Islands of Adventure?
We’ll discuss this more in future months.
