FIRST LOOK: ‘The Last of Us’ Haunted House at Halloween Horror Nights
Our bloggers at at Universal Studios for the first Halloween Horror Nights of the season and to kick things off they rushed over to The Last of Us, the first of many haunted houses they’ll be experiencing this evening.
For those unfamiliar, Halloween Horror Nights is a special ticketed event. However, unlike Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you can expect maximum scares as you head through realistic recreations of some of the pop culture’s scariest moments.
These Haunted Houses aren’t for the faint of heart or for tiny tots!
This Haunted House takes us to post-apocalyptic Pittsburgh. Like in the beloved video game by Naughty Dog, you’ll make your way through a haunting and overgrown world as you fight for survival and square off against Clickers and Hunters!
Our MickeyBloggers arrived early for The Last of Us Haunted House and lines were about 20 minutes when we entered. By the time we left the house, they had gone up to 45 minutes. It definitely pays to get there early.
Guests walk toward a soundstage with The Last of Us branding on the outside.
The queue set up for the event should give you a sense of how many guests they are anticipating!
Unfortunately, guests are not allowed to film these Haunted Houses, these scares are top secret. However, we can tell you about our walkthrough experience.
Overall The Last of Us Haunted House was AMAZING. Though the experience seems rather mild at the start, you just wait.
In addition to a giant image of the fungus-infested Clicker, you can also see Joel and Ellie at the bottom of the sign on the Haunted House.
As we previously shared with you, Clicker artwork also appears on many different Halloween Horror night items so be sure to set aside a bit of spending money to stock up!
Since we weren’t able to bring you the spectacular sights and sounds from inside the Haunted Mouse, we did want to share Universal’s official teaser trailer of the experience.
