PHOTOS: Construction Updates for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift
Get ready, thrill seekers! Universal Studios Hollywood is set to launch its first-ever high-speed outdoor roller coaster, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, in 2026, and construction is underway.
The former attraction, “Fast & Furious—Supercharged,” closed on March 10, 2025, to make way for this new ride.
We stopped by the park earlier today to see the progress and updates!
New Construction Updates

The groundbreaking ride will immerse guests in the adrenaline-fueled world of the Fast & Furious franchise! Guests can expect a state-of-the-art ride system featuring 360-degree rotating vehicles that will rocket along an elaborate track constructed with sound reduction technology.
These new technical elements will create a seamless sensation of drifting cars as guests spin in motion at furiously fast speeds.
Located on the park’s Upper Lot, the coaster will launch riders from a garage-style queue area into a dynamic aerial track that winds over the park.
