Universal Studios Wait Times for March 2026
Welcome to March! We’ve semi-officially survived the brutal winter months.
The change is not a moment too soon, as January and February were pretty ridiculous.

Universal
Orlando, Florida, suffered multiple (!) freeze warnings and a couple of record low temperatures.
Friends, we go to Florida to avoid freezing temperatures! What is even going on here?

Universal
Did the weird weather impact Universal Orlando Resort any? Let’s find out.
Here are Universal Orlando’s theme park wait times for March 2026.
Universal Studios Florida – The Big Three

Universal
Let’s be honest about the fact that Universal Orlando hosts primarily outdoor theme parks.
Sure, some of our favorite rides like E.T. Adventure and Revenge of the Mummy occur indoors.

Still, we must walk in cold weather to explore these areas of the park, and that’s not fun.
So, the unusually savage winter in what’s ostensibly the Sunshine State has an effect.

Some people just don’t want to visit when the temperatures are under 60 degrees, much less 30 degrees.
That happened in February, which still boggles my mind to say out loud.

The weather doesn’t directly impact the park’s top three rides as much as some of the others, though.
All of the Big Three are indoor attractions, so the aggravation mainly stems from the walking.

Last month, people still spent 66 minutes standing in line at Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts.
That’s four minutes more than last time, which could be the trend. I’ll explain why in a bit.

Revenge of the Mummy also increased quite a bit, going from 41 minutes to 48 minutes in February.
Finally, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem averaged a wait of 47 minutes, which is an eight-minute increase.

I know you’re confused, but please hold that thought for a moment.
Universal Studios Florida – Everything Else

Now that you know how well the park’s most popular rides fared, here are how the rest did.

Overall, the attractions at Universal Studios Florida averaged a wait of 33 minutes.
That’s four minutes more than last time, which brings me to two essential points.

Photo: Universal
The first is that January represents the slow season at Universal Studios.
This month and September are generally the slowest two of the year.

As such, the average wait times should increase, even when the weather isn’t very Florida.
The other is that February only lasts 28 days and includes two different holidays.

Weirdly, Valentine’s Day and President’s Day are only separated by a couple of days, yet they each skew the data.
Some people show up early for a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway.

Others wait until President’s Day Week to avoid the Valentine’s Day crowd.
The end result is several days of very large crowds during a very short month. So, February’s wait times should always be higher than January’s.

Overall, the attractions at Islands of Adventure averaged a wait of 43 minutes.
That’s five minutes more than last time and reinforces what I said earlier.

Despite the unusually crummy weather, people still flocked to Universal Studios.
However, with better weather, the crowds would have been even larger.
