Celebrate 30 Years of ‘Jurassic Park’ at Universal Orlando!
June 11th marks the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park and Universal Orlando is celebrating in a BIG way!

We’ve already shown you the Jurassic Park Tribute Store as well as some of the new Jurassic Park merchandise and treats available now, and Universal recently revealed a huge surprise to guests at CityWalk!
Jurassic Park Vehicles
First, the Jurassic Park vehicles arrived at CityWalk! These include the iconic Ford Explorer tour vehicle as well as a Jeep Wrangler parked just outside Cinemark.

If you can’t remember, the Ford Explorers were the vehicles used during the failed tour in Jurassic Park. This one seems to be in much better condition than the one the T-Rex destroyed, although it is labeled as EXP 004, which is the same vehicle Donald Gennaro, Tim Murphy, and Lex Murphy were in.

In the front seat, you can see Lex’s blue cap and a Jurassic Park brochure. On the dashboard are the same pair of goggles worn by Tim.
In the back seat, you may notice Tim’s backpack and a copy of Dinosaur Detectives, written by Dr. Alan Grant.

The Jeep Wrangler is Jurassic Park staff members used. In the front windshield, you might notice the infamous Barbasol can containing dinosaur embryos, which Dennis Nedry smuggled out of the lab. In fact, this Jeep appears to be modeled after the same Jeep used by Nedry during his failed escape.

And a Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Tribute Store sticker is on the rear window of the Jeep, as well as a Jurassic Park Motor Pool Florida Division sticker, which is a group of fans who create screen applicate replicas of film props, such as this vehicle.

And, sparing no expense, we present Dr. John Hammond meeting guests!

In case you forgot, Hammond was the founder and CEO of InGen and Jurassic Park. Pretty cool to see him in “person!”

We saw him coming and going so your mileage may vary when it comes to meeting Hammond, but you might want to stop by CityWalk to check out the vehicles while they’re there.
