The Rides
Hogsmeade boasts several rides from the most thrilling to ones the whole family will love.
Flight of the Hippogriff is a kid-friendly coaster that takes you through Hagrid’s pumpkin patch. The official description from Islands of Adventure’s website claims the coaster ” is a family-friendly roller coaster that spirals and dives around the pumpkin patch, and then swoops past Hagrid’s hut.” Hagrid guides riders through the proper way to approach a Hippogriff, a magical winged creature with the head of an eagle and the body of a horse. But, the mild thrill of this coaster is sure to produce giggles and screams from all kids.

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is a 3D/4D motion simulator that takes riders high into the sky above Hogwarts on a journey with Harry and his friends. This ride is a good overview for those not versed in Harry Potter as the ride takes you “down the familiar passageways and corridors of Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Visit iconic locations such as Dumbledore’s office, the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, the Gryffindor™ common room, the Room of Requirement, and more.” (universalorlando.com)

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is a brand new super thrilling ground-breaking one of a kind coaster. It combines seven launches with a free fall vertical drop of nearly 17 feet. It reaches speeds of almost 50 mph and is the longest coaster in Florida measuring nearly a mile. So, for those that think Harry Potter is child’s play. Meet Hagrid’s Magical Motorbike Adventure
The Hogwart’s Express
With a park-to-park admission ticket you can climb aboard the Hogwart’s express and hop over from Hogsmeade Station to King’s Cross Station at Universal Studios Orlando. Relax and watch the Bristish countryside pass by the window. But, this is no ordinary train ride and even without vast Potter knowledge you will be aware of some magical happenings while you travel.

The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle
Brighten the night with a nighttime lights show on the side of Hogwarts castle. On select nights this projection show will combine music and lights to produce a spectacular show featuring the four houses of Hogwarts. At certain times of the year the nighttime lights become dark. Dementors, Death Eaters and the Dark Lord himself make an appearance. Even for guests who do not know these characters the show is impressive.
