Latest Look at Minion Land Construction At Universal Orlando
If you’ve been following Universal Parks Blog, you’ll know that Universal Orlando is adding the final touches to the new Minion Land inspired by those lovable yellow characters from Despicable Me slated to open up this Summer. Throughout the summer, we’ve been sharing the progress of the new land with you and we’re kicking things off this week with some new construction images.
As you can see Minon Land is still surrounded by a blue construction wall but you can see those colorful details coming to life.
Minion Land will feature Illuminations Minion Cafe, Minions at Villain-Con, Bake My Day, Freeze Ray Pops, Pop-A-Nana, and the existing Despicable Me Minion Mayhem.
During our visit, you could really see Minions Villain-Con taking shape.
At this attraction, you’ll encounter Belle Bottom, Jean Clawed, and the rest of the Vicious 6.
Visitors will be able to unleash your inner Gru and blast your way to supervillain stardom!
Around the public walkways near the construction site, you can now see Villain-Con advertisements on the trash cans!
As the giant cupcake indicates, Bake My Day is where you’ll find a wide range of delectable sweet treats once Minion Land opens this summer.
We love the bright pink facade of the bakery with cute cupcake signage. You can see that some of the detailing on the exterior of the building is still a work in progress.
You can see crews hard at work adding the finishing touches during our visit today.
Moving down the street you can see the exterior of the Minions Cafe. The eatery will have a Mobile Pickup window.
The Minions are hard at work whipping up a variety of tasty dishes! We can’t wait to step inside and try out some of these awesome goodies.
Of course, taking center stage at Minion Land will be the existing attraction, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem.
You won’t want to miss this thrilling adventure with Gru, his daughters, and his massive crew of adorable yellow minions.
Universal has said that they are hoping that the entire area will be completed this Summer.
The details on the exterior of the buildings are delightful!
One of the buildings even features graffiti with one of the Minions’ funny phrase “Bello.”
Also included in the graffiti are lots of cute little Minions getting up to their usual mischief.
We will continue to follow the construction of Minion Land closely.
Readers are encouraged to keep checking back with us for further Universal Studios Florida news and updates.
You won’t want to miss a minute of the action with all of these exciting Summer new additions.
