Is Universal Studios Expanding to the U.K.?
Hello Universal fans! Lots of info and speculation as Universal confirms that Universal Destinations & Experiences purchased land in Bedford, England.
Located 60 miles outside London, the large purchase has many wondering if this is the location for the newest Universal theme park.

A Universal spokesperson shared:
We recently acquired land in Bedford and are at the early stages of exploring its feasibility for a potential park and resort at this site. It will be many months before we are ready to make a decision to proceed, and we look forward to engaging with all relevant stakeholders and the local community.
Universal Kids Resort
The company recently announced its newest theme park, Universal Kids Resort, in Texas. This new announcement comes only weeks after the new park announcements were shared.
The spokesperson further shared that the company is always looking at new locations around the world. The UK is an ideal location for a potential project due to its population, creative industries, strong tourism, and transportation infrastructure.

Bedford has excellent transportation connectivity to London and Europe with more than half of the UK population within two hours, including just 45 minutes outside of London. In addition, it is near Luton airport. We support Bedford’s vision of becoming a prosperous place to live, work and visit. As demonstrated by our other developments around the world, we take a proactive approach to partnering with local communities and stakeholders when pursuing potential projects.
