Universal Studios Hollywood No Longer Supercharged
Universal Studios Hollywood finally confirmed a longstanding rumor about the park’s future.
This update’s all about family as I explain how Fast & the Furious is coming and going at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Supercharged Is Ending…But Not That One

For a while now, dueling Fast & Furious rumors have persisted at Universal’s American theme parks.
On the West Coast, fans have clamored for the rumored Fast & Furious roller coaster.

Conversely, Universal Studios Florida fans cannot wait to shove Fast & Furious: Supercharged out the door.
A few years ago, Universal officials infamously testified in court that Supercharged had a terrible rating.

On a ten-point scale, the thrill ride “earned” a rating of 3.81. That’s a polite way of saying it’s f’n terrible.
Well, rumors of its demise are at least partially exaggerated.

I say this because you may have heard that Supercharged is ending, and that’s…only half-true.
Yes, Universal Studios just confirmed the closing date for Fast & Furious: Supercharged. It’s not that one, though.

As Universal Studios Hollywood fans know, The World Famous Studio Tour ends by dropping you off at Supercharged.
As of March 10th, that will no longer be the case. On that date, Supercharged will close permanently at the park.
About the New Attractions

Universal Studios Hollywood indicates that it will repurpose the space with a new attraction.
Notably, said attraction is NOT the rumored Fast & Furious roller coaster, either.

However, Universal officials have once again confirmed that the roller coaster is coming to the park in 2026.
In other words, Universal has canceled one ride, but it is promising two others.

The first is the Fast & Furious roller coaster that makes so much more sense than Supercharged.
And the other is whatever goes in the current space currently used by Supercharged.

While we have no official word on what that ride will be, I bet it grades higher than 3.81 on a 10-point scale.
Anyway, the big takeaway here is that the Supercharged grand finale closes permanently on March 10th, 2025.

If you’re one of the sickos who likes it, you have less than two weeks to experience it for the last time!
Alternatively, you can still head to Universal Studios Florida.
While many of us believe this ride won’t last another calendar year, Universal has made no official announcements about it.
