Cafe La Bamba Reopens for Summer at Universal
If you’re looking to vary up your lunchtime choices on your next visit to Universal, then good news. You just need to shimmy on over to the Hollywood area of the park, where Café La Bamba has just reopened for business!
Situated just nearby to the Horror Make-Up show, it’s hard to miss this charming restaurant. I mean, just look at that exterior!
The fountain! The streetlamps! The quaint bistro dining chairs and signage!
Inspired by the legendary Hollywood Hotel, this is seriously one of the prettiest restaurants on-property, so we’re so thrilled to see it has reopened its gates to guests once more.
The last time we saw Café La Bamba open was through January and February, so it has seen a good few months without operations here at Universal Studios Florida.
Now, with the impending rise of crowd levels for the 4th July and the exciting summer season after that, it’s no surprise that the place has reopened to help deal with hungry hungry guests!
Today, our reporter Melissa was there bright and early at the restaurant’s 11.30am opening to check the place out. Of course, this sort of business should start with a good look at the menu, and what a snazzy-looking menu this is too!
Offering a self-proclaimed “Fiesta of Flavor,” Cafe La Bamba is a quick service dining location whose speciality is comforting Southern Californian and Mexican fusion dishes.
As we can see from the menu, this involves classic meals such as tacos, carne asada, chips and queso, and more… not to mention the return of that specialty Horchata Cuatro Leches Cake!
Open for lunch right through until one hour before park close, we’re sure the footfall will be high in this restaurant as the day goes on. As you can see from the photos, there weren’t many people ahead of our Melissa in line, but that just means we get this fantastic view of all the cool, colonial décor that spices the place up so beautifully!
For instance, we love this unique centerpiece here in the middle of the counter area. It’s full of old and colorful antiques, and we’re sure there’s a story behind these!
In case guests haven’t decided on what to order from the menu, big screens overhead of the counter display photos of each individual dish available. The food is also served in front of guests at the counter, as you can see from the photo below.
It’s also worth noting that mobile ordering is available at this location for tech-savvy guests – a great option for when you’re on-the-go.
Next time you’re hungry in Hollywood, be sure to head on over to check out the dishes available at Cafe La Bamba. It’s good to have this place back!
