Universal Orlando Files Permits for New Entrance Signs

Universal Orlando Resort is undergoing many exciting changes and expansions. With Epic Universe opening next year and the arrival of new hotels, Universal is going to be busy.

The popular theme park is ensuring it is easy for guests to get around, experience the parks, and have fun.

The resort recently filed new permits to update its main entrance signs.

New Signs

Universal Orlando Resort is updating its current signs with brighter colors and more of your favorite Universal characters.

Local New Channel 6 obtained documents showing that Universal Orlando filed a permit with the city of Orlando to install multiple new entry signs.

The new signs will be installed at the following sign locations:

Turkey Lake Road and Hollywood Way
Universal Boulevard and Hollywood Way
South Kirkman Road and Major Boulevard
Vineland Road and Universal Boulevard

The new signs will still feature the iconic globe on the blue and gold Universal Orlando Resort logo, but they will also have four new digital designs surrounding the logo. The franchises will include Trolls, Kung Fu Panda, Jurassic World, The Wizard World of Harry Potter, and Shrek.

The applications for the new look were submitted to the city of Orlando on September 23, and a tentative hearing is scheduled for November 19. We can’t wait to see the new updates!
