A Handful of Things You’re Sure To Love About Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure
Attention muggles! If you’ve yet to pay a visit to Universal Orlando, we can’t think of a better time. Over the past few days, we’ve shared some many incredible things you can experience from luxurious resorts to fast-paced Marvel fun.
Today we turn our attention to the Wizarding World and more specifically this whimsical land’s newest attraction – Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. This roller coaster, which opened to much fanfare last year is not only a whole lot of fun it’s also a record-breaker. We’re so confident that this incredible new attraction will cast a spell on you that we wanted to share some of the things that make is so extraordinary.
See What Lies Beyond Hogwart’s Castle
Hagrid’s coaster takes you to the edge of the Forbidden Forest as you zip through ruins that have been abandoned for centuries. Universal wanted to get the details of this astounding attraction just right which is why the attraction was built in collaboration with Harry Potter films’ Production Designer, Stuart Craig and Art Director, Alan Gilmore.
With Moves Like These, You’re Sure To Be Impressed
This new attraction is an epic adventure that is not for the faint of heart. The ride catapults you 65 feet in the air at a 75 degree Angle before dropping you back. Then you’re off for a wild ride like nothing you’ve ever experienced before!
Motorcycle Or Side Car? You Choose!
One of our favorite things about this ride is that you can choose whether you prefer hopping behind the wheel of one of Hagrid’s enchanted motorbikes or if your prefer to hope into the adjacent sidecar just like Harry Potter.
One For the Record Books
Hagrid’s motorbike adventure holds the distinction of being the Longest Roller Coaster in Florida. The ride is nearly a mile in length (5053 feet to be exact.) That’s a fantastic distance and with creatures and mischief around the corner there’s no shortage of awesome sights.
A First Among Roller Coasters
Hagrid’s holds another unique distinction. it is the first coaster in the U.S. to feature a free-fall verticle drop. The ride drops you nearly 17 feet. Trust us when we say you’ll be able to feel the butterflies in your tummy as you take the plunge!
Stunning NEW Environments
As the title of the ride suggests, this attraction is brimming with magical creatures. Be on the lookout for dragon eggs on the verge of hatching, Blast-Ended Skrewts and more.
The ride also kicks off with a pre-show feature where you’ll encounter Arthur Weasley, Hagrid and his loyal dog Fang. But that’s not all. Once you board your motorbike you’ll head into the Forbidden Forest for a closer look at some of the wizarding world’s rarest magical creatures.
The Most Launches of Any Coaster In the WORLD
We’ve saved the absolute record-breaker for last! Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is a world record-breaker when it comes to launches. It features seven in total. You’ll take off at up to 50 miles and hour through the Forbidden Forest, past the ruins and more.
