NEW Details Released About the Food Coming to Minion Land at Universal Orlando
Universal Studios Florida has seen a lot of changes over the years. Remember the old Jaws ride?!
That ride was replaced by Diagon Alley as part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter several years ago, which is just one of the major changes that have happened to the park.
Right now, major construction is happening near the front of the park to transform the area into Minion Land! We know some details about the land, but we just found out a LOT more!
Minion Land Food
We’ve got some new details on the food offerings coming to Minion Land thanks to the Orlando Sentinel! As we know The Minion Cafe will be a new place to eat in the redesigned land.
This will be the centerpiece eatery and have different themed rooms, including The Dining Room, which will feature artwork made by the Minions. There will also be the Kitchen and the Breakroom for Minion workers.
There will also be an outdoor patio for dining and an express window with a limited menu! We also got a look at what some of the dishes are going to be!
This is the Steak and “Cheese Ray” Sandwich. As you can see, the potato chips are cut so that they look like banana peels!
Up next, we have Carl’s Crispy Cauliflower, which appears to be a plant-based option.
Finally, we got to see Agnes’s Honeymoon Soup! In Despicable Me 3, this soup appears to contain peas, some kind of meat, and gummy bears. But we would assume that the cafe has altered the recipe to be a bit more appetizing!
And, be on the lookout for a dessert named Bob’s teddy bear chocolate cream puff (YUM).
There will be other dining locations as well, like Pop-a-nana, which will have popcorn buckets as well as banana-flavored popcorn (really!).
You can also stop by the Bake My Day store, which is the name of the bakery and retail location in the land.
And, at Freeze Ray Pops, you can get different popsicles and drinks.
Universal also mentioned some photo opportunities in Minion Land, like the Illumination Theater, which will be an outdoor space to meet characters like the Minions, Agnes, Margo, Edith, and Gru, as well as Rosita, Johnny, and Gunter from the movie Sing.
Minion Land and its new attraction — Villain-Con Minion Blast — are supposed to open sometime this summer. Stay tuned for more Universal news and updates!
